As a fan of Tovino Thomas, especially after his electrifying performance in Minnal Murali, I was genuinely excited to see him take on another big-budget film. So when Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM) hit theaters, I knew I had to watch it. Directed by Jithin Lal and starring a stellar cast that includes Basil Joseph, Rohini, and Harish Uthaman, this film turned out to be a thrilling experience.

The story of ARM is unique as it spans across three generations, each with its own set of characters, and what’s even more impressive is that Tovino plays all three roles. And he doesn’t just play them – he owns them. Each character feels distinct, and it’s amazing to see how he brings subtle differences to their personalities, making each one memorable in its own way. For me, the standout was the thief character; there was something about how Tovino portrayed him that just clicked perfectly.

What I Loved:

Tovino’s Performance
Without a doubt, Tovino is the soul of this film. Playing three completely different characters is no easy feat, but he pulled it off so well that at times I forgot it was the same actor. Each role had its own charm and personality, from the daring thief to the more serious characters. His range is just incredible, and the thief’s character, in particular, left a lasting impression on me with its chaotic energy.

Engaging Storyline
The screenplay was tight, and despite the film’s 2h 30m runtime, it never felt like a drag. In fact, I was hooked from start to finish. The story seamlessly switches between generations, and while it could have easily become confusing, the transitions are done brilliantly. The romance subplot and the film’s exploration of caste politics were handled with sensitivity and depth, giving the movie layers beyond its action-packed exterior.

Visuals and Action
Visually, ARM is stunning. The action choreography is fast-paced and exciting, keeping you on the edge of your seat. The backdrops, whether they’re in the past or present, are beautifully crafted and add to the immersive experience. And while CGI can sometimes be hit-or-miss, most of it here was top-notch. There were a few scenes where the CGI felt a bit off, but overall, it didn’t take away from the overall experience.

Music & BGM
A special shoutout to Dhibu Ninan Thomas for his incredible work on the music and background score. The BGM, in particular, really elevated some key moments, giving the film that extra bit of emotional punch. Whether it was the more intense action sequences or the quieter, more emotional scenes, the music added depth and helped carry the mood.

What Could’ve Been Better:

As much as I loved the movie, there were a few moments where the CGI didn’t quite hit the mark. While most of the visual effects were impressive, there were certain sequences where the CGI felt a little off. But honestly, given the scale and ambition of the movie, these moments were few and far between and didn’t affect my overall enjoyment.

Final Thoughts:

Ajayante Randam Moshanam is a film that deserves to be seen in theaters. The sheer scale, Tovino’s captivating performances, and the visual spectacle make it a must-watch. Sure, it’s not without its flaws, but the good far outweighs the minor hiccups. If you’re a fan of well-crafted action films with heart, you’ll have a blast watching this one.

My Rating: 4/5
This is a movie that’s best experienced on the big screen, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves action, drama, and brilliant performances.
